Comments: “Yule” Holly is checking out a town for business. The town is called Christmasdale. The town is all Christmas-themed. Holly is having a wonderful time and even a romance. Nick now invites her in a way she can not refuse. Holly, though, is a tough woman. She is much more than that. This woman can fi, and she is one’s victim. This story does deliver an unusual twist. The art does illustrate Hilly as a beautiful woman, and it gives you some hints as to her personality.
“Chains Forged i.n Life.” This is an updated take on Scrooge. Rhys is visited by three ghosts, and the ghosts are wasted on him. Rhys, however, does have a chat with the spirits. This story ends up taking a turn down a street you never in a million years will see coming. Rhys is portrayed in the art as a selfish, egotistical man. The spirits are not frightening, not even Death.
“The A, lp” A creepy wooden elf that is alive causes all sorts of trouble. This story is weird and is not fully explained as to what is going on. You can guess at it, though. It is nice to see in the midst of terror that a father and son’s love stays strong.
“The Martians Conquer Santa Claus.” Mars does get ready for Santa’s visit. Its ruler makes preparations to welcome Santa. It soon is Martians vs Elves, and the outcome, well, it is not what you are expecting.
“Counting Days,” An Advent Calendar, adds energy and strangeness to one man’s life. The story and ending do not make any sense at all.
These tales will fill your holidays with terror.
