Created in 1992, WIDOW is the brainchild of writer and artist Mike Wolfer, whose career has spanned nearly 40 years and whose credits include horror series like FRIDAY THE 13TH, NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, LADY DEATH, GRAVEL, and STITCHED; sci-fi adventures of THE LAND THAT TIME FORGOT, THE MONSTER MEN, CARSON OF VENUS, VICTORY HARBEN, PELLUCIDAR/AT THE EARTH’S CORE, and others in the Edgar Rice Burroughs Universe, and his own self-published works DAUGHTERS OF THE DARK ORACLE, WAR MONSTERS, and of course, WIDOW.
WIDOW UNEARTHED is a new series of pin-up books featuring artwork produced for an ill-fated trading card series by Bolt Entertainment in 1997. While the card set was never printed, Mike Wolfer’s artwork created exclusively for the set has been unearthed, newly colored, and will be revealed to the world for the very first time!
WIDOW UNEARTHED VOL. 2 will be a 24-page, full-color comic book. All artwork is by Mike Wolfer, with the exception of one surprise art piece. If you consider the origin of many of the illustrations in this edition, this is a project that has been in the works for nearly 30 years, and with your help it will be brought to life at last!
