Surrey, BC – Altruist Comics is launching a brand-new Kickstarter for the first issue of Deadcrumb.
Created by Simone Guglielmini (Near Death, Breakneck, Over My Dead Body), with dialogue by Will Corona Pilgrim (Marvel Studios, No Touching), colours by JP Jordan (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Gargoyles, Sink Your Teeth In), and lettered by Lucas Gattoni (Harley Quinn, Blue Beetle, Bullet Adventures).
This issue introduces readers to Deadcrumb and the world he observes. Slightly unsettling and gorgeously illustrated with no shortage of black ink, the book pulls readers into the darkness, both figuratively and literally. “Expect classic and contemporary crime‑and‑noir atmospheres, ordinary people pushed to their limits, and a whole lot of darkness. Deadcrumb is built on tension, moral fractures, and the shadows that follow every choice,” said Simone Guglielmini.
“Readers know my work in crime and noir, but Deadcrumb is something different. There’s no single protagonist, no linear plot — just an archivist of the afterlife observing the moments when people fracture. Each story is a fragment of someone’s personal abyss. It’s the most personal thing I’ve ever created.”
