Comments: “When Old Gods Rise” Mercury is on a mission, and the look of determination says it is urgent.
Lots of hard-hitting action greets the reader. The Badge and Venus battle the Blue Ox. He is one big, mean villain.
Venus returns home to Olympus, and it has been devastated. Cthulhu, an old god, is free. Cthulhu has gone to Earth to free the other old gods, and Venus follows. When Cthulhu is shown, the illustration is of a monstrous creature from your deepest, darkest nightmares. This is the ultimate evil, and Venus is the ultimate good. It is love vs terror. Venus, in her new armor, is a vision of a true warrior born. She shows her inner strength; the power of love fuels her and empowers her.
The poses of Venus and others bring out each one’s characteristics.
Venus stands proud and tall; she sets an example of what a hero should be. Even when she was afraid, she never faltered; she stood ready.
The pin-up pictures here and the mock covers are a gorgeous representation of Venus and the Goddess she is.
“A Story From A Midway Night:” In this prose story, the Knight Watchman spies some criminals. This vigilante is sure of himself. He strikes fast and hard. This is an exciting story full of action. Justice is served here tonight.
This is how a comic book should be. It is a page turner that keeps you going to the end.
