Comments: The Cheshire Cat is clearly up to no good, and whatever scheme is unfolding centers around Alice. The story shifts between the real world and Wonderland, giving readers glimpses of both realities. In the real world, however, the inhabitants of Wonderland appear perfectly normal to ordinary people, hiding their true forms in plain sight.
The artwork successfully captures the tone and atmosphere of the Victorian era, reinforcing the story’s old-world aesthetic and grounding the fantasy elements in a believable historical setting.
Evelyn, Alice’s daughter, emerges as an important figure. Unlike most people, she can see Wonderland’s inhabitants for what they truly are. Meanwhile, the Caterpillar appears in the real world, engaged in conversation with Alice’s father — a man whose personality and demeanor strongly echo that of the Cheshire Cat, adding an intriguing layer of mystery.
Despite its compelling ideas, the storyline would benefit from a clearer focus. Little explanation is given as to what is actually happening or why events are unfolding. While several Wonderland characters seem determined to bring Alice and Evelyn back to Wonderland, their motivations remain unclear, leaving readers without a strong narrative anchor.
That said, the appearance of Wonderland characters within the real world is genuinely surprising, and the concept that only believers can perceive their true forms adds an engaging and imaginative twist. Evelyn may still be a child, but she displays remarkable maturity, and it is evident that her role in the story is poised to grow significantly as the narrative progresses.
