Episode 05: “Fly Trap”
Rating:
The latest episode of “Time For Dimensional Robin” takes things to a fun new level by introducing a tiny but mighty anomaly—a fly! During Robin and Marvin’s trip, a fly tags along, causing all sorts of chaos with Amanda (Vanessa Gelacio), one of Robin’s roommates from another dimension. Amanda is hysterical after her husband’s been blown up, and the idea of a fly causing so much trouble feels fresh and playful, avoiding any echoes of the old “The Fly” movies. Instead, Hies and Aponte inject plenty of humor, playing up the fly’s antics in a way that’s both hilarious and creatively clever. While both of them continue to impress with their performances, it’s guest star Gelacio who truly shines, delivering a funny and powerful performance that showcases her acting range. Her comedic flair, combined with just the right touch of drama, makes her performance unforgettable and helps her secure a bright future in acting (She truly deserves all her recognition and appreciation); The VFX in this episode are also outstanding—from Robin and Marvin landing in a different dimension, complete with Marvin’s other variant’s feet (which is sure to make you smile), to Amanda grappling with her brother’s loss thanks to that pesky fly. Hies and Aponte are never afraid to push their creative boundaries, always finding new ways to surprise us. They have a knack for pulling the rug out just when you think you’ve seen it all, delivering plenty of laughs along the way. This episode shows that *Time For Dimensional Robin* isn’t trying to revolutionize the genre of sci-fi—it’s all about delivering big laughs and celebrating geek culture with joy and pride.
Well, that’s it for me. Thanks for sticking around, and I look forward to seeing you next time.
