SCCC Press is happy to announce that Powers Squared is back with a new issue and a new artist.
The new issue is “Agnes: Wreckage Part 1”, which will be released on August 26. In this issue, while trying to assist with his research, Marty and Eli Powers’ former science instructor, Agnes Miller, accidentally took an overdose of the Viribus compound, a chemical blend found in the blood of people with superpowers. As a result, she now has powers that she can’t control, and neither can Dr. Atlas. With nowhere to turn, he comes to beg Marty, Eli, and Mocha for help. But will they answer the call?
The new artist is Jen Moreno, the former colorist, who took over the reins as the artist, changing places with Julia Canon, who had drawn the last four issues but remains on the creative team as colorist. Moreno brings a different art style to the book.
Like previous issues, the writing was done by David Hankins and Paul Hankins, with the lettering being handled by Trevor Hankins, the other creator of the series.
“The last couple of issues revolved around characters other than Marty and Eli, so we’re happy to get back to them,” said David. “The other characters are important, but the twins are the center of the book.”
Powers Squared tells the story of Marty and Eli, college-aged identical twins who discover that they were granted superpowers by a magical kitsune when they were young. The cover for this issue and the first few pages of the issue can be found on the Powers Squared website: powerssquaredcomicbook.com
“Agnes: Wreckage, Part 1” will be available in both digital and print through the following platforms: GlobalComix, Kindle, Indy Planet, and Artithmeric.com. Links will be available at powerssquaredcomicbook.com upon release.
