The 32nd hero for Blizzard Entertainment’s hero shooter Overwatch has now been confirmed. The new hero is Echo, a hero that fans have been waiting for.

Echo was first introduced in the “Reunion” animated short that introduced Ashe at Blizzcon 2018, seemingly being brought back to life by McCree. Echo also had a brief appearance in the “Zero Hour” animated short that introduced Overwatch 2 at this past year’s Blizzcon.

Echo is described as,”an evolutionary robot programmed with a rapidly adapting artificial intelligence,” as well as, “representing the cutting edge of technology.”

No official date has been given to Echo’s release into the game.
