DC has named Nancy Spears as its new Vice President, Sales, a promotion from her previous role as VP of Mass, Book, & Digital Sales and Trade Marketing. During her time in that previous position, Spears managed DC’s bookstore and digital sales efforts – as well as the recent partnerships with Walmart and Target.
In this new role as Sales VP, she will continue those efforts and add Direct Market distribution to her workload.
Spears joined DC’s sales department in 2011 after five years as the company’s VP of Business Development. She previously served as Warner Home Video’s Director of Marketing from 2001 to 2006 and Warner Bros. Entertainment’s Executive Director of Content Acquisitions & Development from 2007 to 2011. She also was COO of WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks for a time.
