Mike: Hot, dusty, wind-swept, lonely, long stretches of boredom punctuated by an intense card game.

Mike: Harley killed Wilfrid’s son Brad in self-defense. Wilfrid doesn’t care.

Mike: A former mining town at the base of the Canadian Rockies in Calgary.

Mike: These Canadian Indians have yet to experience the racism and cruelty that marked so many encounters. Thus, if you respect them, they will respect you.
