San Diego, CA — July 14, 2025 — Emmy-winning video game writer Joshua Rubin (Assassin’s Creed II, Destiny, The Walking Dead at Telltale) will debut his new indie comics imprint, Strange Land Comics, at San Diego Comic-Con 2025 — with a panel appearance and an exclusive preview of his creator-owned series Time Sensitive.
Rubin will speak on the “Ink and Code: Crafting Stories for Comics and Games” panel on Saturday, July 26, 5:30PM, Room 26AB, alongside Evan Narcisse (Spider-Man: Miles Morales), Josh Trujillo (Blue Beetle), and Anne Toole (Ghost of Tsushima).
A New Home for Elevated Sci-Fi Strange Land Comics specializes in high-concept, emotionally resonant genre stories that bend minds and break hearts. Its debut title, Time Sensitive, launches on Kickstarter right after SDCC.
Time Sensitive is an existential sci-fi thriller in the vein of Black Mirror, Inception, and Severance. When LA detective Caleb Stone’s wife vanishes without a trace, everyone tells him he was never married. The woman he remembers waking up with that morning has been dead
for six years. Now, the only person who can help him is a mysterious teenage girl who says she knows why his wife was deleted.
