Multimedia Company’s First Project Now Available
NFL player Christian Jones and his wife Liz Jones are pleased to announce the launch of their multimedia company Lymari Media. Founded by the Jones and led by a talented mix of storytellers, entertainment pros, and scholars, Lymari will bring to life the untold stories of historical African characters, societies and culture through dynamic content in a variety of formats ranging from comic books to podcasts, animations to short films and documentaries. The company’s first project – a series of comics titled Queen Amani Renas – Protector of Nubia – is now available.
“Lymari is the manifestation of a joint passion for Liz and I. We love African history and we found it challenging to find dynamic content across formats that is rooted in history and captures your imagination, so we decided to create the content we wanted to see ourselves,” said Christian Jones, co-founder, Lymari Media.
As the number of media outlets continue to grow through video, social, streaming, digital, traditional and audio formats, there is an increased opportunity to feature inspiring and affirming African stories in an authentic way for audiences of any age.
“African history is everyone’s history – you find its impact and influence woven in various cultures across the world. Our content is created with a purpose of gaining knowledge and understanding, which are key to transforming lives and building stronger connections to one another across continents,” said Liz Jones, co-founder, Lymari Media.
Lymari aims to impact communities across the country by both bringing worthwhile educational stories to life that affirm and inspire, as well as by giving back to the communities they are a part of.
The Jones family is actively involved in various philanthropic efforts – with an emphasis on organizations in cities where Christian has played professional football. Lymari will initially be partnering with two philanthropic organizations as they prepare for the launch of their debut project.
Lymari Media’s first project is Queen Amani Renas – Protector of Nubia. The comic book series will chronicle the life of Nubia’s Queen Amani Renas.
