Mad Cave Studios’ Nakama Press imprint announces WORLD ENDERS, a manga-inspired apocalyptic romp from award-winning writer James Patrick (Batman, Green Arrow, Kaiju $core) and Turin-based artist Nicola Izzo (Bad Omens: Concrete Jungle, Blow Away), with lettering by Sal Cipriano. Set in the aftermath of not one—BUT EIGHT—apocalypses, the graphic novel drops readers into a world that’s been pushed past collapse and kept breathing anyway.

The end of the world isn’t coming. It’s already here. Eight apocalypses have ravaged Earth, and humanity has limped through each one…barely. Now, the monsters of Apoc 8 are closing in, and the only ones left to finish the job are a ragtag crew known as the World Enders: Bethany, Pullman, Toth, and the unhinged S.A.M.—mercenaries who kill for hire in a world already on life support. Their newest mission: trigger a doomsday bomb and finish the job once and for all. But as monsters close in and hope refuses to die, this crew of killers must decide if ending the world is mercy… or madness.

James Patrick frames the story as both catharsis and collapse:
