Canadians Conquering Conan! The Creators Behind The Robert E. Howard Renaissance
On the panel were Jim Zub, Fred Kennedy, Nick Marinkovich, and Mike Rooth. Jim started by telling his origin story and his first Conan work; Fred revealed his feelings about working in the Howardverse; Nick and Mike talked about drawing Conan and the Frazetta influence, the showed some art and covers and talked about them; Jim spoke of the many roads to Conan; Mike talked about his first work on Conan – a pinup for Dark Horse when they had the license; Mike also spoke about drawing the Conan script by Roy Thomas; they also answered audience questions about Conan and the public domain, Jim’s interaction with Roy Thomas, and their favorite Conan story. The panel was moderated by Evan Todd.
