Two writers and two artists to be offered publishing contracts by indie comics press
Summit creators and executives are available for interviews upon request. Please reach out to Adam Barnhardt, Summit Chief Creative Officer, for more information at press@readsumm.it.
As the Summit Universe inches its way to launch, the partners behind the new indie superhero world are opening its doors to creators interested in taking part. Thursday, the company unveiled the first-ever Summit Comics Talent Search, a two-part event hoping to seek out some of indie comics’ best stars.
“We have heard people asking how can they get involved in SUMMIT,” CEO Travis Gibb offered in the press release. “We have listened and this is the first of our initiative to add new voices in the SUMMIT universe.”
For the first part of the contest, Summit will receive submissions from writers. Using character designs drawn by Summit partner Peter Collins, writers are to craft and origin and two-page script based on the design…and only the design!
The second part of the talent search will then ask for submissions from artists using the winning scripts from the first part. To enter and read the full rules and regulations, visit the Summit website here.
