SRCC Press, the publishers of Powers Squared and The Blade of Miracles, will be tabling at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con; it will be their first time. SRCC Press will be located in Small Press M-11.
“We’re very excited, and a little bit nervous about it,” said David Hankins, one of the co-creators of Powers Squared. “We’ve been attending the con for 19 out of the last 20 years, but this is the first time we’ll be tabling. SRCC Press is the college publishing arm of San Romero Community College, where most of the action in Powers Squared takes place.”
“Comic-Con is sort of responsible for us doing a comic book in the first place,” said Paul Hankins, one of the creators of Powers Squared. “It was after attending some panels, where we saw other people talk about their work, that we decided to do our own comic book.”
“We’ll have all 25 issues that Powers Squared has released, as well as 5 of the 12 planned issues of The Blade of Miracles,” said Trevor Hankins, one of the co-creators of Powers Squared and the creator of The Blade of Miracles. “Issue #5 will be released the week after Comic-Con, so this will provide early access.”
