Sketch Duel: James Raiz and Mike McKone
Anthony Ruttgaizer moderated the sketch duel by asking the audience for suggestions for the sketches, asked both what they were working on before comic to the con, how Hero Initiative helped a friend of his, McKone spoke about not doing interior comic book work anymore except for an upcoming creator owned project, both artists discussed their favorite commissions, Anthony told a funny Markus Williams story, advise for breaking into comics, what they’d like to see the industry do to get more people reading comics, spoke about Labubu craze, James discussed working for IDW and his Youtube channel, both artists discussed what characters they haven’t drawn professionally that they still want to and Anthony talked about his attempt to get the license to the Rocket Robinhood cartoon to do as a comic book.
