Second Sight Partners With CBSN
Second Sight Publishing (SSP) and the Comic Book Shopping Network (CBSN) are thrilled to announce that they have agreed to terms on an exciting new partnership. CBSN will market and distribute exclusive variant editions of Second Sight’s new comics. Second Sight will, in return, promote CBSN in its new books.
The first of these exclusive editions will be a Ruby Red Embossed variant of Cult of Dracula #1 with original art by Tiffany Groves. Groves’ variant cover is an homage to the one sheet promoting “Valley of the Dolls”, the vehicle that launched Sharon Tate’s short but monumental career. “Cult of Dracula” was deeply inspired by the 1961 Tate-LaBianca murders by the Manson Family.

Second Sight Publishing has been remarkably successful in marketing its initial launch line direct to comic book stores nationwide. Flagship title” Cult of Dracula”, by Rich Davis and Henry Martinez, hits store shelves on September 23. It has already sold out its first print run of 10,000 units. Golden says it is going back to press for a second printing with brand new art by Tiffany Groves. “The Book of Lyaxia” and “Lady Freedom” round out the company’s launch titles. They’ve sold thousands of copies each. Golden believes this partnership with CBSN will only raise the profile of these and future books from SSP
Jen King from CBSN, shares Golden’s enthusiasm for the partnership. “At CBSN, our focus has been on innovating and adapting to the changes in the comic book marketplace. Our twenty one shows are dedicated to bringing comic book readers the types of books they want in the ways that they want to obtain them. CBSN is a coalition of established retailers from across the United States. They manage Facebook Live sales across 21 unique shows each day. Each retailer has been thoroughly vetted by CBSN and trained in the network’s format for presenting its programs. King says that this consistency gives fans and customers the security of knowing what to expect from CBSN’s retailers. King added that CBSN has plans to expand beyond Facebook Live in the near future.
