SCOTT SNYDER PRESENTS: THE CLOAKROOM ISSUE 4 includes 54 pages of twisted storytelling, designed to shock and enthrall! This anthology was curated by Jerry Carita (Comic Book Men, Cicada Samurai) and Veronica Howell (The CloakRoom issues 1-3), and published with the approval and oversight of SCOTT SNYDER. Each story was written by a student of Scott Snyder’s writing workshop, operated through his Our Best Jackett Substack. Available now on Kickstarter, this new collection is a showcase of spine-chilling originality from the brightest rising voices in comics.
SCOTT SNYDER PRESENTS: THE CLOAKROOM #4 includes five new short stories to add to the already 400 pages of completed works in issues 1-3. Creator/Writers include Casey Van Heel (Blue Juice Comics), Nate Schacter, Jon Auerbach, Ken Janssens, and Griffey Sarmiento. Each story delves deep into a different genre, with unique twists guaranteed.
Like all previous issues, #4 has art from incredible talents. Megan Huang, Konstantin Pak, Nicoló Arcuti, Dmitrijus Čechovas, and Maxeem provide the interior art, while Pablo Verdugo, Matt Salisbury, and Arcuti (again) provided the cover art.

“Of all the projects we do at Thorny Comics, The CloakRoom is nearest to my heart,” said series editor and publisher, Jerry Carita. “The creators are often new to comics work, and this project gives them a chance to get published, often for the first time in their careers. It’s incredibly rewarding work, and Veronica and I are excited to keep it going.”

The team behind The Only Way Out is Through:
Casey Van Heel is a writer of comedy and comic books—creator of Knights of the 5th Dimension (Blue Juice Comics), PALOOKA, and THE CIVIL FOUR (Person of Merit Comics). Husband, Father, mower of lawns, and aspiring Warlock*
*Two Stars: Would not recommend. Wielding a vast cache of forbidden knowledge is hard, AND despatching the random nosey glory-bound Barbarian, I find less than ideal.

Maxeem is the creator and music director of self-published multimedia adult web series Lor’Avvu, and sometimes scribbling squire to Casey Van Heel’s scripts and to partner Lisa Penney’s pop art projects. Daydreamer, dishwasher, dabbler and aspiring Cool Magic Guy*
*Four Stars: Try with confidence. At worst be overwhelmed by your own shadows, at best regain long lost powers, and at the very least rattle yourself!
