PORTLAND, Ore. 11/03/2026 — Fan-favorite creators Robert Windom (M1: Monster Racing League) and Mirko Čolak (Spawn) team up to bring readers a one-and-done tale of vengeance in the upcoming Innen. This action-packed one-shot is set to launch in January 2027 from Image Comics.
The issue will also feature an exciting variant cover by Jae Lee.
“I have been a fan of Mirko’s for a long time and knew he’d be perfect for a real challenge: a throwback to G.I. Joe #21, where the art has to say everything,” said Windom.
Čolak added: “The absence of dialogue presented a unique challenge, pushing me to tell the story entirely through visuals, expressions, and atmosphere.”
“Innen” refers to an inescapable relationship between rivals. Set in Japan,Innen follows a young girl who witnesses her mother’s murder and becomes dead-set on revenge. When she finds an ancient helmet that turns the wearer into a warrior demon, murder and mayhem ensue! However, to quench her bloodlust, she’ll need to defeat her helmet’s karmic enemy.
