Comments: A woman encounters a monster, and the two engage in a brutal battle. As the fight unfolds, she struggles not only against the creature but against her own pull toward darkness. She is depicted as a vision of beauty, while the spider-like monster is truly grotesque. Though visually striking, the story feels a bit thin and could have used more depth. The lovely Seraphine waits as two clowns—Jynx and Stitches—cut a bloody path toward her. They’re searching for Julian, and Jynx’s past with him fuels her thirst for revenge. As she makes her intentions clear, it’s evident that payback won’t be merciful. The artwork here is stunning, with Stitches standing out as a truly horrifying presence. We’re also shown the making of a monster, culminating in a clash with Henry Lovecraft. It’s a hard-fought battle, but the narrative could have benefited from clearer storytelling. Still, the monstrous visuals are powerful enough to leave a lasting impression—nightmare fuel, for sure. Monsters and beauties fill these pages in equal measure.
