Comments: The Youngblood team has found a warrior, and he awakens. The Youngblood team attacks this warrior, and he holds his ground. These heroes are all warriors, as is the genetic creation they face. There are some hard-hitting blows thrown. The warrior does not back down against superior odds. The heroes have their job to do as well. Things change when a group of aliens teleports in. They are armored up and ready for battle.
Darkthornn from D’Khay sends in his forces to kill all the heroes.
Very little is explained as to what is going on. The poses do not show off the heroes or villains well. Some full-body shots would be great to see within the story. The pin-ups after the story do look great.
There are a lot of backgrounds that are just color with lines drawn in them. Seeing a more detailed filled in background would show that more work had gone into this comic.
“YouthQuake!”, Writer Hank Kanalz, Artist Rob Liefeld, Letterer Diane Valentino. It is fun to watch Tinker interviewing to join the team. Well, he does not make it. Youngblood, though, does need a new member. We are shown the possible new members, only we are told next to nothing about them and their powers. This story just ends without any ending.
Youngblood may be a superhero team, yet they function more as one that stands around and tries to look good. A lot more is needed to make this comic book work.
