Comments: Something went seriously wrong with the timeline and Sterling Cross must figure out how to fix it.
Seeing these people from history being used in this manner gives this comic such a force that it becomes unstoppable. This issue adds the Star Crossed Lovers to the mix and the Maid of Orleans. The way established characters are slightly changed to fit into this series works so well.
The settings deliver a ghastly atmosphere. The art on the creatures is stunning.
Van Helsing here is not what you would expect. Nothing here is, everything is different, changed in ways you would never expect.
The violence is amped up here. It is monster vs monster in a bloody killing spree.
This series does keep delivering surprise after surprise and the way it uses old characters in new ways is amazing. It does take a wonderful imagination to deliver these.
Just when you think nothing new can happen it does. You will be left wondering did that really just happen.
