Comments: “Toxie Team-Up # 1” Jesus H. Christ is doing public service in a soup kitchen that Toxie works in. These two hit it off, getting along great. Jesus is changing with the times since he can not change the times.
Jesus does see how things are run, and he fits in working with what he knows. He knows how to manipulate people.
Toxie and Jesus both are drawn looking rough around the edges. The rest of the art needs more detail. The close-ups of Toxie and Jesus are only only times there is enough detail.
Jesus does get his point across when he sees someone operating in a self-serving manner.
This issue lacks the usual over-the-top violence that is usual for Toxie.
The story itself is slow. Jesus’s gifts are not shown a lot. He is portrayed as mostly a normal man. Having him get arrested and do civil service is not played up enough.
Toxie and Jesus do like hanging out together, and they do get along. One mutated freak and the son of God make for good friends.
