Meera and Mark do a lot of walking, and they do see themselves several times, so time is involved in these woods. Time flows back and forth.
The couple does explore the forest, and they go around in circles. Finally,y both of them end up in the dark place. The terror of this place has been building and building, and finally, it makes its move.
The art has a unique style, making it almost cartoonish yet not quite. The colors and shading help bring across the emotions of the people.
This book delivers a spine-chilling story full of surprises at every turn, and the visuals are stunning in a quiet way. What evil lurks in the heart of the forest one may never know.
