Comments: Jack and Lancelot return to Lancelot’s home. Lancelot has the sword Excalibur.
The meeting with Lancelot’s father, the King does drags on as the King decides Jack is the most deserving of using the sword Excalibur. So the sick and dying King gives up his sure thing of living. The King tells Lancelot he plans to retire, so Lancelot feels sad, yet he wants to make his father proud of him. Is Lancelot ready for the duties he will now have? The love they have for each other is clearly brought out in the art.
The art is simple and black and white. The writing also keeps things simple.
So the current storyline ends here. Where will this comic go next? Who needs Excalibur next?
The simple take on Excalibur provides for cute anthropomorphic characters that are fun. Excalibur’s mythology is handled a little differently, which makes things interesting.
For a younger reader, this would be a perfect read, but all ages can enjoy it.
