Comments: “Christmas in the Harz” Santa Claus and an elf, Pie, have a mystery to solve in the Forest of the Harz. There are lots of mythical beasts in this story. Mrs. Claus acquits herself well. Attack her home and pay the price. Santa,nta, he does learn a lesson about what is most important. The art is done in a cute style that somehow still works well with the serious nature of the story, which does not get overly violent in the fights.
“The Klaubaut’s Wager” A man of God matches wits with a beast. Which one outsmarts the other? There really is no question as to who will win. It is an amusing tale, and the artwork works well to show off the two main characters.
“Lio de Nadal” One boy who becomes a man brings joy to kids throughout his whole life. His last wish is to be able to continue that. With some magical help, he does just that.
“Krampusnacht” A man is terrified of the Krumpus. This man does things far worse than the Krumpus. This man fears the Krumpus, and rightly so; so, this Krumpus punishes the wicked only. The fear on his face is illustrated nicely.
“The Baker’s Dozen.”Here, a baker learns that being generous does bring its own rewards. The art is cute and done to make the story feel traditional.
“An Old-Fashioned Holiday” A girl goes on n Christmas holiday with her friend and finds her friend does not celebrate Christmas the way most people do. The girl only wanted to see Santa Claus, and she actually got her wish. The atmosphere set right from he start makes it clear something ominous is going to happen. This story gives you hope and will make you feel good inside. The art illustrating Santa Claus is perfect.
