Comments: Marty is reminiscing about the recent past. Now, a new girl at school approaches Marty and would like him to show her around. Affogato is a cute girl and very nice. This girl, though, quickly shows Marty she is not just some girl.
The girl changes; she is a Yokai, a Yuki-Onna, and she has a cold touch. She is an assassin for Dr. Atlas. So Marty faces a super-powered villainess. The battle goes in the assassin’s favour, and Marty shows he is intelligent and runs. Why fight a losing battle?. Their fight continues, though, with Marty taking charge. He may not be able to beat her physically, yet using his brain, he may. The fight ends unexpectedly.
Marty does have powers, yet here he is portrayed as an ordinary person, as he is a hero. The Yokai we do not learn much about, but the way she is used, she might appear in another issue. She is a good character, but she needs a little more fleshing out.
This issue focuses on Marty. It is great to see an issue focus on one character, so you learn more about them and see how they react on their own. Marty is a smart guy and has a heart. He wants to help rather than hurt his attacker, and this says a lot about him.
