Comments: The Phantom has Christine, and she is there willingly. However, that begins to change as she slowly grasps the reality of her situation. As more is revealed, her perspective shifts. There is a reason behind the Phantom’s actions and his focus on her. The vast underground world where the Phantom takes Christine, despite being dark and foreboding, should inspire fear, yet it does not. The colors give it a surprisingly inviting atmosphere.
The artwork has a pasty quality to it, though the colors are nicely done. The art effectively illustrates how gruesome the Phantom is, not only in appearance but also in personality. Christine is a lovely woman, but the pasty art style does not fully capture her beauty.
The Phantom’s character needed further exploration to give readers a deeper understanding of how he thinks and what motivates him.
This is a tale of heartache and loss. Christine once again experiences the pain of losing a loved one, and it is genuinely tragic. Readers will find themselves feeling sympathy for both Christine and the Phantom.
The ending of the story offers some thoughtful and valuable advice.
