Comments: The brief glimpse into Peter’s childhood provides valuable insight into the person he has become today. These moments from his past help us better understand his character and the experiences that have shaped him.

In this universe, someone on Earth is taking a disturbing interest in companies capable of altering human beings at the cellular level. The implications are frightening, and the world and everyone living in it should be very afraid.

At Oscorp, we witness an experiment that is nothing short of horrendous. What the company is responsible for is truly terrifying, and the possibilities of what could come from this experiment are even more disturbing.

Felicia Hardy is illustrated with a smooth, almost glossy appearance. Unfortunately, the artwork does not quite capture the sex appeal that the writing suggests she possesses. There is a noticeable difference between how the character is described and how she appears on the page.

There is a saying, “Power Makes Monsters!” This issue certainly demonstrates just how true those words can be. The pursuit of power can lead to horrifying consequences, and we are beginning to see exactly what that means in this universe.

Uncle Ben is portrayed as such a wonderful, caring man that your heart will break for him. His love for Peter is evident, and he comes across as the best uncle anyone could hope to have. The emotional connection between these characters adds a touching human element to an otherwise increasingly frightening story.

This issue delivers the beginning of what promises to be a truly terrifying tale. The story unfolds slowly, allowing the suspense to build naturally. Peter, meanwhile, is focused on helping his uncle and looking toward his own future. He has no idea what may be waiting for him.

As readers, however, we can sense that something terrible is coming. The tension continues to grow, and the atmosphere becomes increasingly unsettling. You know something is going to happen, but exactly what remains a mystery.

That uncertainty is what makes this issue so effective. The writing creates a growing sense of dread, while the artwork helps establish a world where something horrifying could be lurking just around the corner.

By the final page, the suspense has you on the edge of your seat, wondering what fate has in store for Peter Parker. This is a chilling opening chapter that leaves you anxious, intrigued, and eager to discover what happens next.
