Comments: Very atmospheric music in this movie to set the right mood.
Right from the start you can tell this is a weird movie. A group of people emerge from a cave mouth. There is something strange about them.
Gina visits her best friend in her family castle. They decide to go see a circus sideshow. The scenic beauty of their surroundings have a creepy look with the stone statues.
There is nudity and sexual situations in this movie so it is for a mature audience. Having the leader of the sideshow though rape the best friend well rape is never a good thing and here it is made to look erotic. Rape is rape pure and simple. It is not love making it is an attack. She looks so beautiful but the scene as she just lays there drugged while being raped is sick.
Gina just dismisses it as if it was nothing at all.
There is a beast with the sideshow and the lady of the castle is a beauty. So we have Beauty and the Beast. The beast is heroic.
The two brothers have a bond but only the one is the beast. They both love and hate each other. Their acting seems like from a very old movie.
The movie is not focused at all. It is so hard to follow the story line. It is hard to understand what and why things are going on.
There is a great little twist in the movie involving Martha. Catherine the lady of the castle has a twist to her character to. She also has a choice to make.
The ending to this movie is what you would expect. It is just how they get there that might surprise you. The movie really needed a lot of work. A more straight forward script and more chances for the actors to show us how good they could be.
The basic concept of Beauty and the Beast is great.
