Comments: Jason appears to be trying to keep the peace between humans and aliens in this city. The conversations, though, are so hard to follow the way the characters are speaking.
Nothing is explained. Whoa, are the Red Tide Constabulary? How did these aliens get to Earth? How many different types of aliens are there? Is this situation planet-wide? What is the purpose of what is going on?
The story switches to where Jason is a painter. So are these two Jasons from different worlds, the same person somehow going back and forth, or is one a dream? Jason in the Fantasy World does seem the more real of the two.
Jason is part of a group that is investigating a crashed spaceship. Jason has a lot to think about. He is involved with this ship and other things that put him in danger. Things go from bad to worse for him and his wife. You feel for Jason and what he is enduring.
This side of the story is exciting and delivers an atmosphere filled with hatred and also hope.
