Comments: Detective Shamrock is beautifully illustrated and immediately comes across as someone who takes charge.
Highlight’s origin is hard to follow. The Indieverses feature a diverse range of characters, with these superheroes collaborating for the greater good. Each character is briefly introduced, but the sheer number can feel overwhelming.
For some reason, Dire Devil is hunted down by his fellow heroes, though the reasons are unclear. Why are these heroes here, and what exactly are they trying to accomplish?
The art is plain and needs something to make it jump off the page. The drawings feel flat and lack visual depth.
Sgt. Flag greets Joe Dragon as he arrives atop a sea creature, which looks amazing. The creature appears to come from the ocean’s depths without being overly frightening.
The Bayan Knights arrive, and the G-Men meet them. We don’t learn much about the Bayan Knights. Rather than immediately fighting, as many teams do upon first meeting, the two groups engage in a different kind of interaction.
The pin-ups are excellent, especially the final piece, which is a masterpiece: a dynamic action pose featuring three G-Men poised and ready for battle.
