Comments: “Making Faces.” You have to pay close attention to the art here. Two teens are to play on the beach, and they get more than they bargained for. There is not much to the story. The art is indistinct.
“My Iron.” The story has to do with magic and one woman who has taken something. The art does have a few weird illustrations at the end. The story does not go anywhere. What is the purpose? You might be able to guess at parts.
“Marian Heretic” A nun battles with a witch, and the battle is a fierce one. This Sister Marian and her fellow nuns have sinned. She is treated rudely by the church elders, and she does not deserve it, yet she is theilapdogog. Marian kills witches for them. This is a great introduction to this character and for the coming series.
“I Can’t Take You Anywhere.” Here, we get two one-panel stories that are cute. They have a weird twist to them that makes them fun and crazy.
“Collywobbles.” A man who is not very nice makes a mistake along a forest road, and the forest decides to make things right. The night scenes do add a frightening touch to this tale of terror.
“The Life and Death of Lucas Dreamwalker,” Lucas Dreamwalker is an interesting character, and a few things in the story stand out. The story does take a twist that the reader will be looking for, for it’s not apparent what the twist will be. The art looks good, giving the story a noir feel.
