Comments: Parker West and Patti Olsen live in a town surrounded by graveyards. Caleb is Patti’s ex. The three are hanging out in a graveyard. Trip and Rhonda join them as well. They are the Graveyard Club.
Officer Ray finds the teens hanging out and he harrasses them slightly. Billy-Roy a school bully is getting blamed for harassing Parker and Trip. He may be innocent of somethings.
The Graveyard Club decides on revenge, and Officer Ray is about to find out what that means. The revenge game goes too far, and then the revenge is forgotten as a much bigger problem looms. It is a bigger revenge from someone not unexpected.
In the graveyard, both Parker and Rhonda see something that cannot be.
The art works well showing these teenagers. They are illustrated as you would expect. They are drawn to hanging out and doing stupid teen stuff. There are nicely drawn facial expressions.
More supernatural stuff would have been nice to see here. Everything that did happen was reality, as humans are scarier than any supernatural threat because they are real. Your imagination will start to work here, maybe proving that the supernatural is more frightening.
The build-up of horror does start in this first issue as suspense is built.
