Comments: Roya, a mysterious woman of wealth, hires Conan as her bodyguard for a trip she is taking. During the journey, a pack of wild hyenas attacks. The creatures move in fast and are vicious. As they near the woman’s city, they face an unholy army that threatens to overwhelm them. Conan is illustrated as a fierce warrior as he battles these horrid foes. After the battle is over, Conan becomes a somber man as he accepts what he has had to do.
Roya remains very mysterious, as she explains nothing about her mission. She does, however, leave Conan with the reward she promised.
Conan and the man he is are shown here exactly as they should be. He is a warrior and a man. You see a man simply doing what he was hired to do—a man doing his job and doing it well. Conan is not some hero or braggart. He is simply a man living his life as best he can.
Conan is a driven man in a fight. He has a berserker rage that, when unleashed, makes him almost unstoppable unless he is killed. This rage takes over, pushing his strength and fighting ability to their limits.
Conan is easy to identify with, and you will be able to see yourself standing in his boots.
