REVIEW: Iron Maiden Piece of Mind

Iron Maiden: Piece of Mind is a graphic novel that adapts the nine tracks from Iron Maiden’s 1983 album Piece of Mind into original stories. The book features contributions from a diverse range of creators, including Eisner nominee Ivan Brandon, Emmy-winning director and screenwriter Sacha Gervasi, and metal authority Brian Posehn.

The stories in Piece of Mind are all well-written and capture the spirit of the original songs. Brandon’s adaptation of “Flight of Icarus” is particularly impressive, and Gervasi’s take on “Die With Your Boots On” is both moving and thought-provoking. The artwork is also top-notch, with contributions from some of the best in the industry.

In addition to the stories, the book is also packed with original pieces of art by acclaimed illustrators. These pieces help to create a truly immersive experience, and they are a great way to appreciate the visual world of Iron Maiden.

Overall, Z2 Comics’ Iron Maiden: Piece of Mind is a must-have for any fan of Iron Maiden. It is a beautifully crafted and entertaining graphic novel that celebrates the band’s music in a truly unique way.
