This week, I will be reviewing issue number eleven of “Simon N. Kirby, The Agent” from G-Man Comics. This issue introduces eight exciting new heroes—six original characters created by backers and two new creations by Rik Offenberger. The focus centers on Alpha, whose actions reveal more layers of the mystery surrounding Atomik Bombshell’s origin.
While the introduction of so many new heroes might seem overwhelming for a single issue, Offenberger and Gilbert Monsanto skillfully handle this challenge, giving each character the attention they deserve, but The Agent himself remains central to the storyline, as it is his title. Notably, Alpha stands out as a character to watch as Offenberger does an excellent job of creating an intriguing aura around him, which could be explored further in a future issue or even a dedicated title of his own. After reading this issue, many readers may be eager for an ongoing series featuring Alpha. Gilbert Monsanto’s art shines once again, particularly in the action sequences, adding a larger-than-life appeal. His attention to detail is commendable, although I still feel as if a skilled inker could help polish some rough spots of his art. However, his coloring is nothing short of flawless. With its dynamic flair and dramatic elements, the latest issue of “Simon N. Kirby, The Agent” provides a fun, action-packed adventure that maintains the suspense surrounding Atomik Bombshell’s origin while delving into the mystery of Alpha and his connection to Atomik Bombshell, setting the stage for the next issue.
