This week, I’m excited to explore issue one of “First Guard,” the latest compelling release from G-Man Comics.

When Agent Squires mysteriously vanishes after a tense confrontation with Doc Chronos, the responsibility falls on The First Guard—comprising The Fighting Yank, Veil, Tectonic, Blue Bolt, Taranis, Johnny Sol, and Diversion—to unite and uncover the truth. While much of this issue explores the dynamics of the team as they navigate their past, it’s a brilliant opportunity for Eric N. Bennett to showcase character development that may not resonate with every comic book fan seeking nonstop action. However, Fernando Damsio’s vibrant artwork elevates the narrative while providing an energizing visual experience. What truly sets this issue apart is its innovative storytelling and sharp, engaging dialogue, which draw readers into the Guard’s mission. You can’t help but feel invested in their struggles as they attempt to navigate life in 1963. The pacing is relentless, and the suspense of an inevitable showdown with their past counterparts looms large, but thanks in part to the clever use of time travel and a compelling cast of characters, “First Guard” stands out as a powerful addition to the G-Man Comics universe. It brilliantly exemplifies the very best of superhero comics, ensuring that fans everywhere will be captivated.

Well, that’s it for me. Thanks for sticking around, and I look forward to seeing you all next time.
