POWERS SQUARED’S 27th ISSUE DROPS ON MARCH 25

After a six-month hiatus, Powers Squared returns with a twist. The 27th issue, “Life on the Road,” does not feature Marty and/or Eli Powers, but rather Billy O’Shea and his companion and protector, Raven, a yatagarasu, last seen in issue #18 of the series, “Mocha and Raven, Part 3.”

“Billy O’Shea has been around since issue #1,” says writer David Hankins. “We brought him back with Raven for a three-issue story arc and decided to spin the two of them off on their own adventure. Billy’s powers of super strength and punctuality seem perfect for a long-haul trucker.”

The issue is the last of the four issues drawn by Julia Canon, who started working on Powers Squared six years ago, as a colorist. Each of those issues was a stand-alone, including “Gashadokuro”, written by Trevor Hankins, its companion issue, “Yuki-Onna”, written by Paul Hankins, and “The Great Escape”, written by David and Paul.

In the book, Billy and Raven are trying to stay under the radar and out of sight from Dr. Atlas, who has been after Billy since he was a child. But life on the road is not without its problems, as they are twice held up by a motorcycle gang that wants the cargo. But they soon find that they’ve picked on the wrong trucker and sidekick.

In addition to Canon’s artwork, Jen Moreno did the coloring, and the lettering is by Trevor Hankins, who is also a co-creator of the book. The cover and the first few pages of the issue can be found on the Powers Squared website: https://powerssquaredcomicbook.com/powers-squared-%2324-27.

“Billy and Raven: Life on the Road” will be available in both digital and print through the following platforms: GlobalComix, Kindle, Indy Planet, and Artithmeric.com. Links will be available at https://powerssquaredcomicbook.com/the-campus-store upon release.
