Professional wrestler Benjamin Satterley, better known to wrestling fans as PAC and formerly as Neville in WWE, has died at the age of 40.
All Elite Wrestling announced Satterley’s death Sunday evening. A cause of death has not been announced. AEW described the Newcastle upon Tyne native as a wrestler who captivated audiences around the world with his innovative high-flying offense and exceptional in-ring ability.
The news was especially shocking because PAC had competed only a day earlier at AEW All Out on September 26, 2026, wrestling Andrade.
Born August 22, 1986, in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began wrestling professionally in 2004. He developed a reputation as one of the most spectacular aerial wrestlers of his generation, competing throughout Britain, Europe, Japan and the United States.
Before reaching WWE, he became particularly well known for his work with Dragon Gate, where his combination of speed, strength and aerial ability helped establish him as an international star.
Satterley signed with WWE and competed in NXT under the name Adrian Neville, later shortened to Neville. His extraordinary athleticism earned him the nickname “The Man That Gravity Forgot.”
Neville became one of the cornerstones of WWE’s early NXT era. He captured the NXT Championship in 2014 and held the title for 287 days before eventually moving to WWE’s main roster. He later became a two-time WWE Cruiserweight Champion and one of the central performers in the company’s revived cruiserweight division.
After leaving WWE, he returned to the PAC name and eventually joined All Elite Wrestling in 2019, becoming part of the company during its inaugural year.
PAC quickly became a major presence in AEW. His intense personality and hard-hitting style provided a sharp contrast to the spectacular aerial wrestling that had first made him famous.
He became the inaugural AEW All-Atlantic Champion, the championship later renamed the International Championship, and twice held the AEW World Trios Championship. His first Trios reign came alongside Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix as Death Triangle, while his second came with Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta.
Throughout his career, PAC was respected for being able to combine several wrestling styles. He could fly like a cruiserweight, strike with convincing intensity and wrestle technically against opponents considerably larger than himself.
His physique and strength also separated him from many of the high flyers of his generation. Moves that seemed impossible for a wrestler his size became an expected part of a PAC match.
That combination made him memorable regardless of whether fans knew him as Adrian Neville, Neville or simply PAC.
In announcing his passing, AEW offered condolences to Satterley’s family, friends and fans.
Benjamin Satterley leaves behind a career spanning more than two decades and major championships on both sides of the Atlantic.
For wrestling fans, however, his legacy may be simpler than a list of championships.
PAC was one of those rare performers who could make audiences wonder how what they had just seen was physically possible.
He truly was The Man That Gravity Forgot.
