Overwatch is once again in the holiday spirit. Their “Winter Wonderland” event is back for 2019.  Lasting December 10 to January 2, this year’s event offers more new items to earn.  A new Winter brawl has been added as well.

Returning this year will be “Mei’s Snowball Offensive” where two teams of 6 will face off in a one hit snowball fight for frosty supremacy. Also coming back will be “Yeti Hunter” where a team of 6 Mei’s must survive a Yeti with Winston’s powers.

New this year is the “Snowball Deathmatch.” In this new mode 8 Mei’s take part in a free-for-all brawl where you can store up to three snowballs to help eliminate the competition.  In “Snowball Deathmatch” players can also unlock new achievements and sprays.

Players will also be able to unlock new skins, sprays, emotes, and intros. Look for new skins for Reaper, Sigma, Doomfist, and McCree. All unlockable items from previous winter events will be available as well.

New this year will be weekly challenges featuring Soldier 76 the first week, Moira the second week, and Mercy the third week. In the weekly challenges players will unlock a new icon after winning 3 games, a new spray after winning 6 games, and a new skin after winning 9 games. All the items will be character specific to that week.
