Oni Press Joins NC Comic-Con with All-Star Artists Noah Bailey, Lewis LaRosa, & Matt Lesniewski

PORTLAND, OR (October 24, 2025) – Oni Press, the multiple Eisner and Harvey Award-winning publisher of groundbreaking comics and graphic novels since 1997, is proud to announce that is returning to NC Comicon in Durham, NC on Saturday, November 8th and Sunday, November 9th with a star-studded cast of featured guest artists, including Noah Bailey(High Strangeness, Station Grand), Lewis LaRosa (Punisher MAX, Carbon Based: The Art of Lewis LaRosa), and Eisner Award nominee Matt Lesniewski (Faceless & The Family, The Freak).

Noah Bailey is a professional illustrator, designer and comic book artist living in Chicago, Illinois. Noah’s illustrative focus is in classic film and literature. Often times (but certainly not exclusively), his work is horror-related.

Bailey is best known for his self published and independent work such as STATION GRAND(published by Oni Press), INFINITE HORRORSand DIABOLICAL!; the latter his own personal comic anthology magazine. He is a frequent collaborator with fellow Kinetic creator, Michael W. Conrad, and the pair have created two notable graphic novels with DOUBLE WALKERand TREMOR DOSE—both released through Comixology and Dark Horse. The pair also created a short story at DC for WONDER WOMAN: BLACK AND GOLD.

Lewis LaRosa grew up steeped in the worlds of comics, animation, comics, and dinosaurs. After winning a local art competition at Dr. No’s Comics in Marietta, GA as a teenager, he decided to pursue comics illustration full-time. Following short stints on DC Comics’ JLA and FIRESTORM, LaRosa launched PUNISHER MAX in 2004 with Eisner Award-winning writer Garth Ennis – launching Marvel’s seminal MAX imprint to blockbuster sales and immediately cementing him as one of the industry’s most watched up-and-coming artists.

In 2013, LaRosa began a years-long run for the revitalized Valiant Entertainment, where he contributed covers, interior art, and character designs for some of the publisher’s most recognizable series. including BLOODSHOT REBORN, DIVINITY, NINJAK, SHADOWMAN, UNITY, X-O MANOWAR, and more.

Since that time, LaRosa has continued to create covers and key art for a variety of publishers and clients – including Marvel, Image Comics, Hasbro, Mondo, Epic Games, and more. In 2026, Oni Press will publish CARBON BASED: THE ART OF LEWIS LaROSA – LaRosa’s first-ever career retrospective art book.

Matt Lesniewski is an Eisner-nominated writer and artist. His debut graphic novel, THE FREAK, was nominated for an Eisner Award in 2020, leading to subsequent collaborations with New York Times best-selling writer Matt Kindt for series including MIND MGMT BOOTLEG and CRIMSON FLOWER for Dark Horse Comics. Lesniewski’s second graphic novel, STATIC, was also released by Dark Horse.

In 2024, Oni Press published Lesniewski’s newest work, FACELESS & THE FAMILY, earning widespread critical acclaim, and the publisher has also recently re-released THE FREAK in a new hardcover edition. In addition to regularly contributing covers for a host of Oni Press series – including XINO, HIGH STRANGENESS, and the upcoming SPIRIT OF THE SHADOWS, Lesniewski is also currently hard at work on a brand-new comic book series for the publisher.
