Marvel Rivals at San Diego Comic-Con

San Diego Comic-Con is notoriously known for recruiting top heroes, and Marvel Rivals was top-notch! NetEase Games and Marvel Games returned to San Diego Comic-Con with Marvel Rivals taking over the Marriott Marquis with giveaways, special guest appearances, and engaging panels. Marvel Rivals is an award-winning team-based shooter that lets players create a squad of superheroes and supervillains to fight within the Marvel Multiverse. Each character has their own unique set of abilities and team-ups, making every round of combat unique. The video game has formed an incredibly talented and dedicated community featuring cosplayers, competitors, and casual fans who love the champions.

The Marvel Rivals experience was held at the Marriott Marquis from Thursday to Sunday, kicking off each day at 9:30 AM. Attendees enjoyed hands-on gameplay and signing sessions all weekend long with awesome giveaways and prizes, including a special SDCC poster and character-themed badges. 

Panels featured the fantastic voice cast in an energetic Q&. The voice cast included Erik Braa (Moon Knight), Brittany Cox (Angela), Bill Millsap (The Punisher), Laura Post (Emma Frost), Hakeem Ysaguirre (Cloak), and Lenore Zann (Rogue). Other notable voice actors such as James C. Mathis III (Black Panther), Daniel Marin (Namor), and Eliah Mountjoy (Winter Soldier) attended the Marvel Rivals Experience, lending their voices while connecting with the audience on favorite character voicelines and moments.

The “Marvel Rivals: Ignite the Summer!” panel featured creative leaders from NetEase Games and Marvel Games, delving behind the scenes on the visual and narrative design of the game’s latest content. Panel attendees included Dino Ma (art director), Weitai Luo (principal environment artist), Zhen Li (principal 3D character artist), Peilin Zhong (lead character concept artist), Yachen Bian (marketing lead for Marvel Rivals), Jinghua Duan (lead narrative designer), and Donger Gan (narrative designer). Marvel Games team members who attended included Danny Koo (executive producer), Dakota Maysonet (creative development manager), and Dan LaDuca (senior art director). Topics featured the Hellfire Gala, Summer Special, the current game season, and new announcements.

Marvel Rivals continues to have a very passionate community. The panels were alive with fans bonding over the game’s characters, mechanics (such as the new team-up abilities), and upcoming features.
