It’s time for more Marvel heroes and villains to make their debut in Magic: The Gathering! To celebrate, a special event kicked off in Downtown Los Angeles on Friday, June 5th, showcasing the new Marvel Super Heroes set. The evening featured a red carpet where celebrities and influencers showcased outfits inspired by the cards they represented. Notable attendees included Olympic Gold Medalist Amber Glenn, Super Bowl Champion Leonard Williams, actress Karen Fukuhara, and Khleo Thomas. Prominent figures from the Magic community included Head Designer Mark Rosewater and Principal Magic Designer Gavin Verhey!
Attendees experienced the new Marvel Super Heroes set firsthand before the official launch. Throughout the multi-story Marvel experience, we got to crack open official booster packs, partaking in photo-ops with “The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl” card, exploring through themed zones, and discovering our Mana Color.
The initial reaction to the cards was nothing short of excitement. Additionally, the Welcome Decks gave players an opportunity to fill the playing areas and explore the newest set. The event accomplished what Magic: The Gathering has been known for over the years: creating a sense of community through a fun, competitive game.

With card styles ranging from traditional comic panel frames to vibrant full-art comic covers, this set is perfect for both fans and collectors. Featuring a wide variety of fan-favorite heroes, villains, notable weapons, locations, and more. One such artifact that was revealed earlier this year is The Mind Stone, taking up the collectible, ultra-limited card for this set.

Marvel Super Heroes Prerelease starts June 19th-25 with the Magic: The Gathering Arena release on June 23.
