Madmaniverse Mod Metal Lunchbox launches on Kickstarter

Madman gets the first new metal lunchbox in twenty years!

Mike Allred’s Madmaniverse universe of characters–starring Madman and featuring It Girl, X-Ray Robot, Red Rocket 7, The Atomics, and more–get a brand new metal lunchbox once the new Kickstarter campaign funds. The Madmaniverse Mod Metal Lunchbox has exclusive new art by Mike and Laura Allred and is produced with The Drawn Word’s Christopher Irving.

“This is my tenth Madman-related Kickstarter and it needed to be something truly special,” Irving notes. “Mike and I have been working towards this one for at least a couple of years and it is designed to fit exactly next to the Dark Horse Comics Madman metal lunchbox from the early 2000s.

“It’s also important that my kid gets through Kindergarten with a Madman lunchbox! And I’d be lying if I didn’t claim to want one for myself, too.”

“Be the coolest kid in the lunch room, break room, conference room or picnic table! Not to be used as weaponry!”

-Zane Michael “Spike” Dalton “Red” Allred Esq.

The lunchbox is 8 x 7 x 4 inches and designed at a vintage lunchbox scale. It features Madman, It Girl, Madgirl, The Atomics, X-Ray Robot, and Red Rocket 7 in a design that smacks of when every Saturday Morning cartoon and superhero got the chance to carry the lunch of a young fan.

Since every comics fan loves to read at lunchtime, the campaign also offers an exclusive Madman Lunchtime Digest that fits in the lunchbox itself. It collects 64 pages of Madman stories with pin-ups and a few other surprises. An exclusive alternate cover is designed by Archie Comics artist (and creator of Kevin Keller) and Die Kitty Die co-creator Dan Parent. The digest is limited to the Mod Metal Lunchbox campaign.

The Madman Mod Metal Lunchbox Kickstarter campaign is currently underway and ends June 30th.
