Ka-Blam Digital Printing Rebuilds Its Platform

ORLANDO, FL — August 25, 2026 — Ka-Blam Digital Printing, the comic book print-on-demand company today launched Ka-Blam 3.0, a complete rebuild of the platform independent comic creators and small publishers have used for more than twenty years to print their comic books and trade paperbacks.

Rather than just redesigning the site, the company rewrote it from the database up, rebuilding every customer-facing tool around what creators actually do: price a book, place an order, upload files, print it, and reprint it.

New features include:

Live pricing without a quote form. Pick the size, page count, cover stock and color options and watch cost-per-copy and order totals update in real time — with no account required just to get a number.

A single-page cart and checkout. Quantities, shipping options, discounts, credits and payment now live on one page. Before paying, creators can see how an order breaks into packages, what container each package ships in, and how much room is left inside it — making it clear at a glance whether adding more copies will fit in the same box or push the order into an additional one. Shipping addresses can be edited directly in the cart with rates recalculating on the spot, and backer lists for multi-address crowdfunding fulfillment are a standard option rather than a special arrangement.

One-click reprints. A completely redesigned, rebuilt, streamlined re-order system. Every title a creator has ever printed is searchable with cover art and lifetime copy counts.

An All-New Message Center. Ka-Blam’s support conversation tool, largely unchanged since the mid-2000s, has been rebuilt as a threaded chat with a complete history tied to each account.

A new interactive support assistant. The new virtual assistant draws on the full technical FAQ plus twenty years of the company’s own support history. When it can’t answer, it routes the creator to the Message Center.

Also New …. plain-language order and invoice tracking, and expanded IndyPlanet sales dashboards.
