JOEL MCHALE HOSTS 53RD ANNUAL SATURN AWARDS ON MARCH 8, 2026 AT THE UNIVERSAL HILTON IN LOS ANGELES

Los Angeles, CA  – The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films is thrilled to announce that actor, comedian, and television host Joel McHale (Animal Control, Community, Scream 7) will host the upcoming 53rd Annual Saturn Awards ceremony for the fourth consecutive year. The Awards Show will take place on March 8, 2026, at the Universal Hilton in Los Angeles. The Saturns are the only awards show that have been honoring the best in genre entertainment since 1972. The announcement was made today by Robert Holguin, President of The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films.

This year’s nominations and special Saturn Awards Honors will be announced in the next few weeks.

The Academy was created in 1972 by noted film historian Dr. Donald A. Reed to recognize films often overlooked by mainstream awards. The Saturn Awards is the oldest awards ceremony for genre entertainment.
