Jerry Hinds Talks About SupraCross #5

First Comics News: For new readers, who are SupraCross ?

Jerry Hinds: Heroes from Singapore: Singapore Sling & D-Temasek.
Heroes from the US: Myst, Clandestine & Wang Wang.
Villains from Singapore: Razor Black & Razor Red, The Kreaper, & The Chemical Brothers.
Villains from the US: Yuri ‘Sweet Tooth’ Tiberius & his Taskmasters.
Villains from UK: The X-Patriot.

All of these Supa (super) heroes & villains add up to a massive crossover, or ‘SupaCross’.

1^st: Can you describe the central conflict in SupraCross #5?

Jerry: The master plan of criminal cartels is reaching the third act, and this now has all of the heroes finally converging for the ultimate in showdowns.

1^st: Which characters are the focus of issue 5?

Jerry: D-Temasek, Clandestine, Chemical Brothers, Kreaper & The X-Patriot.

1^st: Are any new characters introduced?

Jerry: The Chemical Brothers are a big reveal.

1^st: What moment in SupraCross #5 are you most proud of?

Jerry: Clandestine is riding on the shoulders of D-Temasek across the skyline of Orchard Rd, the main commercial city area of The Lion City.

1^st: What aspect of this issue best represents what SupraCross is all about?

Jerry: The definitive air of, ‘the third act’. The convergence of the characters and big reveals come together nicely. Incidentally, I also really liked issue #3’s second act divergence. It is a somewhat risky ‘Tarantino’ like moment… and #5 really proved to me that I was right to do it.

1^st: How does this issue raise the stakes for the series moving forward?

Jerry: Again, it’s the big reveal. Certain alliances are confirmed, and we get to see some great interactions and awesome setups for the 6th and final issue of the mini-series.

1^st: SupraCross #5 set up what’s coming next?

Jerry: Yes – the last page really sets up the final issue, along with discussed subject matter within the story, setting up what will be a VERY surprising ending. Not to be missed.
