ED STOVERS’ THE HARVEST!
Journey into the brilliant mind of Ed Stover, with his new horror entry into the Zindagi Comix banner, The Harvest.
I’m really looking forward to the rest of the issues in the series. The artwork is original and fits the story perfectly. I also love how The Harvest jumps right in—it skillfully transports you to another time and place without getting overwhelming in the details—a tough task well done!
Ed Stover’s epic premier issue takes place in 1988 with three asteroids entering Earths atmosphere, one lands in Asia, one in California and the last one in Widdington Connecticut where a family farm in New England becomes the epicenter for a dark nightmare to come…
THE HARVEST #1
CREATOR/WRITER/ARTIST : ED STOVER
LETTERS/EDITS: KEN BOUTHILLIER
Coming from a small secluded town in Connecticut named Brooklyn. He enjoyed reading and collecting comics with the dream of creating his own comic.Drawing comics was never looked at as a legitimate art form to his teachers in school so he was never driven to continue with it.Inspired by artists like Kirby, Byrne, Perez, Sinnott, Ditko and the Buscema brothers. Ed would attempt to draw his own comic book but life and work would always end up putting that plan on the back burner. It wasn’t until an old friend of his Ken Bouthillier had a life changing health emergency that the idea of doing his own comic book would resurface. After doing a fan art for his incredible Zindagi series Ken convinced him to create his own comic. Ed wanted to do a series that involved some of my favorite subjects like horror, sci fi and superheroes.Starting with a basic idea and story that would kind of give homage to the old horror movies and comics he laid out the start of the Harvest. With some help and drive given to him by Ken as well as the pandemic Ed was able to knuckle down and finalize my first issue. The Harvest starts off with a traditional horror/sci fi story outline but will slowly peel away to something more out of this world.
THE HARVEST WILL BE COMING OUT BI-MOTHLY FROM ZINDAGI COMIX
